Year 8: Respect

Eva - Class Teacher

My name is Eva, and I am a Class Teacher at Brook Academy. I started my teaching career as an ESOL teacher, I then moved to teaching Functional Skills English. I spent the last few years in mainstream secondary education where I had a chance to work with students with SEN. I love watching young people learn and develop their skills to become the best they can be.

Andrew - Learning Facilitator and Forest School Leader

Hi, I’m Andrew (or Andy) – I am the Forest School Lead and a Learning Facilitator when class based with the Respect Class. I have previously worked at another SEN School in Cheltenham in a similar role, working predominantly with the secondary pupils; taking an interest in helping to teach my students life skills alongside their classroom lessons. I have a keen passion for Sports and Outdoor Learning, when I’m not at Brook you can often find me watching and playing a variety of sports or walking around the many beauty spots in Gloucestershire, particularly Painswick Beacon. My aim in Forest School is to help the students (and staff) to explore and discover the natural world, looking at a variety of areas including; The World Around Us, Fire Lighting and how to reduce our Ecological Footprint.
